So I decided to email my physics discussion TA 'Mark Schubel' simply because I think he's a very good and fun loving teacher.
Here is the email which I sent him (

I tried to make the email as concise and meaningful as possible. I am still waiting for his reply.
Your e-mail was nice and concise. I hope you got a reply.
ReplyDeleteWhy did you just use his first name to adress him? If he doesn't really know you shouldn't you be more formal?
How do you intend on furthuring this connection? Do you intend to get to know him on a more personal basis?
Why didn't you begin with asking when his office hours were and then detail your question? I think that might be a little clearer.
On a side note, I really like all your pictures in your blog.
Hi!Schivam.
ReplyDeleteWell,this is a well-written e-mail.
First question, why didn't you make a question list like
1.--------
2.--------
Because I found by doing this,it more easily for people classified each question.
Second quesion,I suggest you use "Dear" or other formal titile,I think just Hello is not formal enough.
Thanks!
Hey Shivam,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I love your graphics and the crossed out portions of the sentences, very creative.
You did a good job keeping it short and sweet and to the point, but I do agree with the others that spacing it out (or at least having the office hours ? on another line) would help make it a little bit more effective. Otherwise, very nice!
HAPPY FRIDAY!
Your email was very concise and to the point, resulting in a communiqué that would not be easily misconstrued.
ReplyDeleteIt seems you have provided a good introduction to yourself and the email is in general well organized and structured, but it might be more effective if you spaced it out or divided into some sections.
I think that communicating well with TA’s and professors is very important in resolving problems before they become worse problems so well done. Learning is a two way street after all and it seems you are attempting to do your part.
I hope you continue your communicating with your TA.
